Khaitan & Co acted as the sole legal counsel to ChrysCapital Advisors LLP in connection with the setup, regulatory approvals, and negotiations with key Indian institutional investors and large family offices for their investments in the Indian sleeve of ChrysCapital X. The Firm provided comprehensive, end-to-end legal support through to the closing of the transactions. Khaitan & Co also served as the sole Indian legal counsel for the setup of the offshore sleeve of ChrysCapital X. ChrysCapital X has secured commitments of USD 2.2 billion, making it the largest private equity fund ever raised by an Indian private equity firm.
ChrysCapital X has secured capital from a diverse global investor base including public pension funds, insurance companies, asset management firms, family offices and other institutional investors from Japan, the Middle East, South-East Asia, Europe, and the US. In addition, for the first time, ChrysCapital X has raised capital from Indian investors. The fund is sector agnostic and aims to make investments across healthcare, manufacturing, new economy, financial services and enterprise technology spaces.
