Khaitan & Co jointly advised Dixon Technologies (India) Ltd and Longcheer Intelligence Pte. Ltd in relation to the formation of a strategic joint venture in India between Dixon Technologies (India) Ltd and Longcheer Intelligence Pte. Ltd., as well as receipt of necessary approval under Press Note 3 of 2020, whereby Dixon will hold 74% and Longcheer will hold 26% of the total paid-up share capital of the joint venture company.
The joint venture is aimed at fostering domestic manufacturing champions, strengthening the electronic component ecosystem, boosting India’s electronic product exports, and increasing domestic value addition. Notably, the collaboration seeks to introduce Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) capabilities for mobile phones and other electronic products, catering to both domestic and international markets.
The core team consisted of Atul Pandey (Partner), Hirak Mukhopadhyay (Partner), Varun Yadav (Principal Associate) and Shruti Gupta (Senior Associate).
