SEBI’s consultation paper on AI/ML Guidelines: Reconciling innovation with investor protection

In light of increased adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) technologies by market participants, on 20 June 2025, the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) issued a consultation paper titled “Guidelines for Responsible Usage of AI/ML in Indian Securities Markets” (Paper).
